A. Kovalenko was born in 1977 in Gomel. In 2001 he graduated from the Belarusian State University of Transport with a degree in “Rolling stock”.
After graduation, he did the master course in the Belarusian State University of Transport, and then he took a post-graduate course in FSUE “The Russian Research Institute of Railway Transport of the Ministry of Railways of Russia”.
In 2006 A. Kovalenko defended his Ph.D. thesis.
He worked as an assistant of the department “Technical Physics and Theoretical Mechanics” of the Belarusian State University of Transport, a senior research associate at the State Scientific Institution “ The Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”.
Since 2009 – Scientific Secretary of the State Scientific Institution "Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”.
Area of scientific activity – the study of the dynamics of vehicles.
During the period of scientific work A. Kovalenko has published 26 scientific and methodical works and received 3 patents.
