Algin V.B., Verbitski A.V., Kovalenko A.V. The life expense of the car. A part II: Models of life expenses for the basic parts
The dependences of life expenses on the run (kilometrage) and age for various basic car parts are developed. Getting dependences is based on two typical approaches: 1) the analysis of basic parts features and their operation conditions; 2) use of the substantial regularities presenting link between damaging factors and life expenses of the basic parts in car operation. The second approach is demonstrated for a truck tank..

Korsakov V.V., Vygonnyi A.G. Choice of the engine power for line haul trains
In the article basic approaches of determination of road train engine power are examined. Statistic data of engine power variation, average speeds and fuel consumption of line haul trains from 1966 to 2007 are presented. On the basis of analysis of modern requirements for line haul trains on highways the determination of engine power in terms of maximum speed of 60 km/h on the grade of 3—4% is proposed.

The review of technological aspects and constructions of the machines and equipment for hole repair of the highway asphalt pavement has been developed. In this review the technologies of hole repair by laying the little grainy, flow asphalt mixes and emulsion-mineral mixes has been analysed. The constructive features, merits and demerits of machines and equipment, which realized each of exist technologies has been studied. Determined the perhaps roads of its modernization and directions of improvement. Showed, that the most effective is introduction in its constructions devices, which can modify asphalt mixes and activate the components of emulsion-mineral mixes, lowering energy consumption and enlargement technological possibilities, in particular, by using in distribution of the against ice-crusted ground materials during winter period.

Mikhailau V.V. The comparative analysis of efficiency of wheels and ways to increase it
The article offers a method to estimate the wheel efficiency and identifies the ways to increase it. The propositions are based on the power and kinematics factors analysis. The substantiation is given to the following variants: the transmission control, the proposals to remove working mode zone to lowest values of wheel rolling resistance, to use an original wheel design to reduce wheel rolling resistance. The offered innovations concern the increase of general efficiency of mobile cars, the improvement of traction wheel properties and reduction of fuel consumption.

Kuntsevich S.P., Nikonova T.V., Mikhasev G.I. On the influence of modulus of subgrade reaction and the wavelength of corrugation on bifurcation of thin corrugated shell lying on elastic foundation under action of hydrostatic pressure
The problem of buckling of a thin corrugated shell lying on elastic foundation under action of the non-uniform hydrostatic pressure is considered. The influence of the elastic foundation is taken into account as the additional pressure within the framework of Winkler’s model. The semi-moment equations of the thin elastic shell theory are assumed as the governing ones. The rigid clamped conditions are considered at the edges of the shell. Assuming that the hydrostatic pressure depends upon the circumferential co-ordinate, solutions of the governing equations are constructed in the form of functions decaying far from some generator on the shell surface. Using the complex WKB-method, the boundary-value problem is reduced to the sequence of the one-dimensional boundary-value problems. Its numeric solution has been obtained. The influence of parameters of corrugation of the shell and modulus of subgrade reaction on the critical pressure has been analyzed.

Belotserkovsky M.A., CHEKULAEV A.V., Kukareko V.A. Technological parameters of flame spraying coatings thermoplastic polymers
The article includes description of the flame spraying process of thermoplastic polymer coatings in the form of powder and wire. Implemented a theoretical assessment of thermal and dynamic parameters of the jet flame, the spray polymer wire to form a coating. It is shown that the physical and mechanical properties of polymer coatings essentially depend on the initial state (powder, wire), caused by the material. After the formation of coatings by applying layers of polymer powders are predominantly amorphous structure, and after spraying wires mainly crystalline. It was found that the formation of antifriction coatings operating in the tribe<paired with the unit loads of up to 4 MPa can be used as a dispersion of polymer rods, and coating polymer powders. For more loaded friction units should be used only powder coating. It is shown that the modification of a powder charge on the basis of polyamide nano size carbon filler type UDAG enhances the value limit of unit loads, with dry friction from 7 to 10 MPa.

The mathematical and mechanical model of the reconstructed middle ear subjected to tympanoplasty by using the «large island» technique is constructed. The restored tympanic membrane (TM) is modeled as the system of two concentrically conjugate annular plates from which the internal plate is monolayer and made from the cartilaginous tissue and the external one consists of two layers — remnants of the ear-drum and transplant. The influence of dimension of the deleted or damaged area of the TM, the transplant thickness on the strain<stress state is studied.
