The life expense of the car. Part I: The basic concepts

Approaches and methods for an estimation of physical wear (life expense) for technical objects are analyzed. Calculation examples by various techniques are resulted. A variety of treatments for physical wear (life expense) of technical objects is shown. The concept of the life expense for the car as a weight-average value for the life expenses of its basic parts is entered. The nonlinear model of life expense determination for the basic part of the car depending on its run and age is presented.

Electronic stability control to improve active vehicle safety. Part I: Review of electronic stability control systems

Advanced chassis control systems enable a vehicle to achieve new levels of performance in handling stability and responsiveness. This paper aims to provide a technical overview of state-of-the-art systems for electronic stability control. Dealing with generalized system of electronic stability control, the paper discusses methods to assess vehicle stability and responsiveness using basic automotive actuators and various control parameters.

Vibration activity abatement of precessional gearing by means of balancing of rotating members

In the article dynamic model of precessional gearing is considered. The model connects geometric parameters of gearing with numerical characteristics of vibration activity. Base of the model is system of equations that describe motion of gearing members: input shaft, satellite and output shaft. The model allows to determine vibration activity and to trace character of dependence of numerical characteristics of vibration activity on geometric parameters of gearing.

Increase of a technical level of frictional belt drives by a method of optimization of parameters of flexible links

The model of interacting of flexible link with cones of the frictional belt-stretches is developed, allowing considering operation of shift strains at transmission of power. It is certain agency of shift strains of flexible link on magnitude of its slip ratio and traction ability. The gained theoretical results are adequate to experimental data that allows recommending the designed technique for heightening technical data of frictional belt-stretches.

An application of the vector analysis for optimization at the designing of the clearing mechanism grain harvester

The method of the vector analysis of lever motions on the example of the clearing mechanism grain harvester. The analytical description of its kinematics in vectors has been lead for the given mechanism. The using of the given method in modern mathematical packages allows in short terms and with high quality to create optimum and competitive systems of lever motions for agricultural units.

Prediction of effective mechanical characteristics of tricot

Mezomechanical model of tricot for medical applications has been developed. It allows one to establish a dependence of specific loads on extension ratios as well as predict the strength tricot parameters. An elasticity modulus and tensile strength of monofibers are used for characterization of the mechanical properties of threads generated the tricot. The developed model was used for a description of the test process of the slur tricot samples on the State Standard 8847-85 by a method of «punching by a ball».

Analysis of vibration of skeleton building located near to shallow subway

In this paper, the reinforced-concrete skeleton structure elements vibration, induced by the trains of the shallow subway in the constrained city conditions, is investigated. The steady state vibrations of the reinforced-concrete column and slab, which are induced by the excited force equivalent to the impact from metro operations, are considered. The design model for a problem on propagation of bending waves within the limits of the typical fragment of a skeleton 16-storied structure is introduced. The distribution of vibrations on structure of the whole building is investigated. The problem has been solved numerically on the basis of the ANSYS FEA program. The experimental data on vibration of the foundations and other elements of buildings with the reinforced-concrete skeleton carrying structure are received. As a result the main principles of the vibration propagation on elements of structures for the existing frame buildings at the dynamic impact induced by the trains of the shallow subway are established. The technique prediction for vibration propagation in design of building constructions is offered.

Free vibrations of liquid-filled cylindrical shells reinforced by a cross system of ribs under axial compression with regard to discrete allocation of ribs

The paper is devoted to the investigation of vibrations of liquid-filled cylindrical shell reinforced by discretely distributed cross system of ribs under axial compression. It is assumed that the ribs are uniformly distributed on the surface of the shell. The problem is solved by energetic method. Using the Hamilton-Ostrogradsky principle, the frequency equation is constructed and its least root is found. Influence of the parameters of external medium and contractive force on the parameters of eager vibrations of the system is analyzed.

The paper presents the method for optimizing the spatial arrangement of injector nozzles of hopped-up diesel internal-combustion engine that enables sharp estimation of boundary conditions at piston head. This allows simulation of piston temperature fields.

Serviceability of freiht+car on warranty area of the railway

It is shown urgency and practical value given problems. The considered questions technical with-standings parka coach. On the grounds of statistical given about functioning the warranty area are determined and explored factors to serviceability, as well as is calculated optimum length of the area on condition of reliability of the considered nodes of the coach. At calculation of the length of the warranty area applying probabilistic approach: is executed selecting the law of the sharing the random quantity lifelength on refusal and are received its design values for given level to confidential probability. Undertaking the studies on each warranty area of the firing range of the Belarusian railway will allow to classify the area with provision for possible economic losses from refusal coach on them, as well as improve the territorial scheme of the accommodations of the points of the technical maintenance and raise the serviceability of the freiht-cars on warranty area.

Choice of the cladding rational modes for metal+cutting machine slide+ways

The mathematical dependences connecting design data of the flexible tool (metal wire brush) and technological parameters of process of drawing of a covering by a cladding with the flexible tool are received. Tests of slide-ways with a covering generated on rational modes, chosen with use of the developed model, have confirmed its efficiency. The covering has provided decrease in factor of a sliding friction at moving machine units on slide-ways on 25…30 % at a friction «pig-iron on pig-iron» and on 35…40 % – at a friction «pig(iron on a steel», and also improvement of the slow movements steadiness of form(building units of metal-cutting machine.

Mathematical deformation model of human knee and numerical evaluation of its deformations

The mathematical calculation of the knee joint, with consideration of deformations introduces large practical concern from the point of view of medicine and artificial limb industry. In the article one of versions of such calculation is offered. The elastic deformations in contact (the problem of Hertz) are investigated. The numerical calculations of the radius of the zone of contact, of the depth of penetration and of contact pressure are conducted.

Static model of the middle ear subjected to reconstruction by using the «large island» tympanoplasty technology. Part I: Biomechanical model

The static biomechanical model of the reconstructed middle ear in the case of tympanoplasty and installation of the PORP type prosthesis replacing the «malleus-incus» chain is proposed. The case when the «large island» technique is applied for the reconstruction of the tympanic membrane is considered. The proposed model is meant for the calculation of the strain-stress state of the reconstructed middle ear after placing prosthesis.

Research of movings of the elastic support at movement of the sportsman

The technique of experimental definition of deformation of the sports shell playing a role of a support at performance by the sportsman of exercise is presented. A basis of a technique is optical registration of movement of a support and the sportsman several videocameras, the staff with which were synchronized by light-emitting diodes. Researches have revealed essential influence of all elements of a sports shell on moving of a support, thus the contribution of a signature stamp to full moving to the separate moments makes less than 50%.
